Adobe Firefly is Adobe's generative AI engine, trained exclusively on licensed Adobe Stock images, openly licensed content, and public domain material. This training approach makes it one of the few AI image generators that is explicitly designed for commercial safety, with Adobe offering IP indemnification to enterprise subscribers.

Firefly powers generative features across the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop, text effects in Illustrator, and template generation in Adobe Express. The standalone web app allows text-to-image generation with granular style controls including reference images, color palettes, lighting presets, and composition guides.
